Cozumel is the largest inhabited island in Mexico. It is located east of the Yucatan Peninsula, in the Caribbean Sea, and is ranked as one of the best destinations in the world for reef diving. In Cozumel you can choose from all kinds of water sports, like snorkeling, parasailing, kite surfing, fishing, kayaking and jet skiing, as well as swimming with dolphins. A ride on a glass bottom boat is another fun option to enjoy the sea, without getting wet. You can also visit ancient Mayan ruins, like the ones at San Gervasio, take a stroll through the narrow streets of San Miguel or admire the exotic local wildlife in the Chankanaab National Park and the Punta Sur Ecological Reserve.




How to get to Cozumel?

The Cozumel International Airport is located about 4 miles east of the hotel zone. It receives flights mainly from the United States, Canada and some seasonal flights from the U.K. Private transportation services are provided by some hotels upon request and usually the car rental companies offer very good deals.

An alternative way to get to Cozumel is to fly to the Cancun International Airport, drive to Playa del Carmen and take the ferry to the island.
