Gran Hotel Diligencias is housed in an antique European-style building which dates back to the eighteenth century. Its walls conserve the visit of well-known characters from the modern history of Mexico, and they were a source of inspiration for the singer/composer Agustin Lara, who one night at room 85, now 121, composed his famous song “Veracruz”.
