Manzanillo Vacation

Description

Manzanillo is located 56 miles from the state capital, Colima, on the Pacific coast of Mexico, in between the states of Jalisco and Michoacan. Manzanillo is often referred to as the ''Sailfish Capital of the World'', because of the abundance of sailfish caught here each year, and also because of the many national and international fishing tournaments held in these waters, since 1957.

Manzanillo is made up of two bays called Manzanillo and Santiago, which are separated by a small peninsula jutting out into the Pacific Ocean, also called Santiago. Manzanillo is home to Mexico's busiest port on the Pacific Coast, servicing 15 states. Its strategic location enables Mexico to trade with countries in the South Pacific and it is an ideal place for travelers to connect on long voyages from Central and South America.
