The Two-Tank Certified Scuba Dive is for certified divers only and you will be required to show your certification from PADI, NAUI, SSI, YMCA, FMAS, CMAS, etc. This is a regular service with a predetermined program which consists of a dive to a depth of 80 feet (24 meters) and a second immersion of 40-60 feet (12 to 18 meters).

The boat leaves from Hotel Presidente Cozumel at 8:15 a.m. Those traveling from Cancun or the Riviera Maya can also be picked up two blocks away from the ferry station at 7:45 a.m. Afternoon outings for a minimum of four people are also available, though not as frequently.

Designed for people without certification, the Discover Scuba Diving (or DSD program) offers you the opportunity to learn how to dive during your vacation. There are some medical conditions that may prevent you from taking this course, including asthma, epilepsy, recent surgeries, hypertension, pregnancy or a history of ear or lung infections.

The course is taught by a PADI instructor at Hotel Presidente Cozumel and includes all of the necessary equipment. It lasts two to three hours and consists of an introduction to scuba diving, a demonstration of the use and operation of the equipment and practice submersion in a swimming pool. You will then be taken to the beach to dive to a small reef located 25 feet (eight meters) under the water. This is the ideal excursion for first time divers. Enjoy a safe yet exciting experience when you join this course. The DSD can be scheduled at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m. or at a time that is more convenient for you.
